I TESTED THE AERIAL HOOP FOR YOU…

J’AI TESTÉ POUR VOUS LE CERCEAU AÉRIEN…

Today we meet Emie who tried out the aerial hoop for us…

She tells us about her experience and feelings regarding this new trendy sport!

“As a regular gymnast and Pole dancer, I wanted to try aerial hoop which is very close to the circus arts.

It's a real mix of flexibility, strength training, balance, ease and a little bit of grace.

This sport consists of linking together seamless movements to create an artistic choreography in the air.”

The session

As it is a sport of “aerial lifts”, the dancer must absolutely warm up thoroughly and dedicate 15 minutes to muscle strengthening.

And don't forget the few stretches before getting on the hoop to prepare your muscles for the different movements.

Then comes learning different aerial maneuvers like the one you can see below…

And of course, don't forget to stretch properly at the end of the session to avoid muscle soreness the next day!

Why this sport?

Have you been searching for a complete sport for a long time? A "new" sport? A sport to let off steam while learning new moves? Then aerial hoop is for you! Regardless of your physical condition, flexibility, or weight, whether you're afraid of heights or not, aerial hoop can suit any body type; all you need is a love of dance and not to be afraid of getting a few bruises…

But don't worry! After successfully completing the tricks, you'll forget the pain of the bruises!
