To develop the women's sportswear of the Activewear collection At Noliju, I worked extensively on selecting the different materials. I scoured various European trade shows in search of the most beautiful, innovative, and comfortable fabrics. I naturally chose... technical materials to practice our favorite sport running, Enjoy complete peace of mind and maximum comfort. I truly wanted to select only the very best so you could discover exceptional fibers that are as practical as they are beautiful and comfortable to wear. Why deprive yourself of beautiful materials when it comes to sports?
The classic cotton
What would our wardrobe be without cotton?
This natural plant fiber, derived from the seeds surrounding cotton plants, is the most widely used in the world, and for good reason. It's soft, has exceptional absorbent properties, and is extremely easy to care for. That's why cotton is so often used in sportswear. It's also worth noting that it's breathable and hypoallergenic, a real advantage for sports or after-work wear, for ultimate comfort! I chose to use it primarily for its softness in the Julien heather gray sweatshirt .
The essentials: polyester and polyamide
A staple of women's sportswear , polyester is ultra-resistant to wind and water. It's therefore ideal for makingrunning t-shirts ; thanks to its low absorbency, perspiration is quickly wicked away, keeping you dry no matter how intense your workout. And you no longer have to worry about your top after a long day. Wrinkle-free, your polyester garments will always look impeccable.
Polyamide is the second essential synthetic fiber. Highly elastic and particularly durable, it provides the necessary muscle support during running . That's why I selected it for the Jean and Guillaume short leggings, so you feel supported throughout your runs !
Nylon is made from these same fibers. I primarily used it for larger garments like jackets, such as the Antoine reversible jacket and the Max windbreaker . It's a fabric that dries quickly and is highly wind-resistant, allowing you to confidently face any type of weather during your outdoor activities. Its lightness and fluidity will allow you to run protected and with complete ease.
The silky Meryl
The feeling of wearing a fabric as pleasant and light as silk, with the properties of technical textiles, is the whole point of this material!
Made from synthetic microfibers, Meryl is ideal for quickly wicking away perspiration during repeated runs. Its high breathability also perfectly respects the skin's natural balance.
Want to feel fresh even after a grueling run—an unlikely quest? Well, no, as incredible as it may seem, the antibacterial properties of Meryl Skinlife fiber ensure the reduction or even elimination of odors after your most intense workouts, like those famous interval training sessions. Pure bliss for any self-respecting runner!
Meryl Santorini, meanwhile, is an equally surprising material, being extremely supple and delicate, which allows it to be worked in a subtle drape in the back of the Niko tank top for a most glamorous effect in sports as well as in the city.
